Preparing your paper
1. Structure
Manuscripts should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text; acknowledgments; references; appendices (as appropriate).

2. Style guidelines
Please refer to the following style guidelines when preparing your paper, rather than any published articles or a sample copy.
Please use American spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.

(1) Font
Minion Pro, 9.8 point, double-spaced. Use margins of at least 2.5 cm (or 1 inch).

(2) Title
Use bold for your article title, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.

(3) Abstract
Indicate the abstract paragraph with a heading or by reducing the font size.

(4) Keywords
Please provide five or six keywords to help readers find your article.

(5) Tables and figures
Ensure you have permission to use any tables or figures you are reproducing from another source.
Formatting and templates
Papers should be submitted in Word. To assist you in preparing your paper, we provide formatting templates.
Word templates are available for this journal. Please save the template to your hard drive, ready for use.

Checklist: what to include
1. Author details. Please include all authors’ full names, affiliations, postal addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses on the title page. Where available, please also include ORCID identifiers. One author will need to be identified as the corresponding author, with their email address typically displayed in the article's PDF (depending on the journal) and online article.
2. 5 to 6 keywords. Read about making your article more discoverable, including information on choosing a title and search engine optimization.
3. Funding details. Please supply all details required by your funding and grant-awarding bodies as follows:
4. Disclosure statement. This is to acknowledge any financial interest or benefit that has arisen from the direct applications of your research.
5. Supplemental online material. Supplemental material can be a video, dataset, fileset, sound file or anything which supports (and is pertinent to) your paper.
5. Figures. Figures should be high quality.
6. Tables. Tables should present new information rather than duplicating existing text. Readers should be able to interpret the table without reference to the text.
7. Equations. If you are submitting your manuscript as a Word document, please ensure that equations are editable.
8. Units. Please use SI units (non-italicized).
Using third-party material in your paper
You must obtain the necessary permission to reuse third-party material in your article. The use of short extracts of text and some other types of material is usually permitted, on a limited basis, for criticism and review without securing formal permission. Suppose you wish to include any material in your paper for which you do not hold copyright, and which is not covered by this informal agreement. In that case, you will need to obtain written permission from the copyright owner before submitting.
Submitting your paper
Please read the guidelines above and then submit your paper online through kass.ne.kr or as an email attachment at kass@kass.ne.kr Please note that JOSS uses Crossref™ to screen papers for unoriginal material. By submitting your paper to JOSS you are agreeing to originality checks during the peer-review and production processes.
On acceptance, we recommend that you keep a copy of your Accepted Manuscript.

- The journal is published biannually, with regular issues released on June 30 and December 30.
Copyright Agreement
The copyright of manuscripts remains with the author(s).
However, for manuscripts accepted for publication in this journal, the copyright shall be transferred to the Korean Academy of Space Security (KASS) upon the author’s consent through a signed Copyright Transfer Agreement.
Publication charges
There are no submission fees or page charges for this journal.
Color figures will be reproduced in color in your online article free of charge. If the figures must be reproduced in color in the print version, a charge will apply.
